WELICEF 375 Injection is a Ceftriaxone-Sulbactam injectable formulation positioned for selected bacterial infections requiring parenteral antibacterial therapy. Its dual mechanism combines established third-generation cephalosporin activity with beta-lactamase inhibition, providing a clinically relevant option for appropriate hospital and physician-managed infections. The injectable dosage form and combination positioning make it a useful addition to a differentiated PCD Pharma Injectable Antibiotic portfolio.

It inhibits selected beta-lactamases and helps protect Ceftriaxone from enzymatic degradation.

Selected bacterial infections requiring injectable combination therapy.

No, antibacterial treatment is not useful for viral infections.

Confirm penicillin and cephalosporin allergy history before administration. Use the prescribed dose according to infection severity and patient characteristics. Monitor clinical response and relevant laboratory parameters when therapy is prolonged. Follow hospital antimicrobial policies and reassess treatment once microbiological information becomes available.

Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, rash, headache and injection-site reactions may occur. Beta-lactam hypersensitivity can result in allergic reactions ranging from mild rash to serious anaphylaxis. Changes in liver-related parameters or other laboratory abnormalities may occur in some patients. Any severe allergic symptoms, persistent diarrhea or unexplained clinical deterioration warrants immediate medical review.

WELICEF 375 Inj: Ceftriaxone inhibits bacterial cell-wall synthesis through penicillin-binding proteins, producing bactericidal activity against susceptible organisms. Sulbactam inhibits selected beta-lactamase enzymes produced by some bacteria and thereby helps preserve the activity of Ceftriaxone. The combination provides complementary antibacterial action and can improve coverage against appropriate susceptible beta-lactamase-producing pathogens when clinically indicated.
