TERIBRO-AM Drops is a paediatric respiratory and anti-cough formulation combining mucus-clearing and bronchodilator support. It is positioned for selected cases of productive cough with thick secretions and bronchial tightness, where loosening mucus and supporting airway patency are clinically appropriate. Its dropper-based presentation enables controlled paediatric administration, making it a useful PCD Pharma Paediatric Respiratory Care product.

Productive cough associated with mucus and bronchospasm in appropriately selected children.

Yes, Ambroxol and Guaiphenesin support secretion clearance.

It can in some patients.

No, the underlying cause and clinical findings should guide treatment.

Follow the physician-prescribed dose and use the measuring dropper accurately. Do not combine with other bronchodilator or expectorant preparations unless advised. Encourage appropriate fluid intake where suitable. Parents should seek medical attention if cough is accompanied by severe breathing difficulty, chest retractions, cyanosis, persistent high fever or progressive respiratory distress.

The formulation is usually tolerated at recommended paediatric doses, but nausea, vomiting, abdominal discomfort, tremor, restlessness, headache and dizziness may occur. Terbutaline can occasionally produce palpitations or a faster heartbeat. Excessive doses may intensify these effects. Any child with worsening wheezing, breathing difficulty, persistent rapid heartbeat, unusual weakness or reduced responsiveness should receive prompt professional medical assessment.

TERIBRO-AM: Ambroxol decreases the thickness of bronchial secretions and supports mucociliary transport, while Terbutaline relaxes bronchial smooth muscle to improve airway calibre. Guaiphenesin increases the volume and decreases the viscosity of respiratory secretions, promoting productive coughing and clearance. The combined actions therefore address multiple aspects of mucus-associated respiratory symptoms, particularly where productive cough is accompanied by bronchial narrowing or wheeze.
